About Me
I am a NYC-based software engineer with 8+ years of professional experience as a Ruby on Rails web developer. I have worked in the e-commerce industry and developed domain expertise in e-commerce, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, direct selling, and consignment, and multi-level marketing (MLM). In addition to Ruby on Rails, I have also used React, Vue, and vanilla JavaScript to build rich frontend user experiences.
I have a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. During my studies I took courses in Computer Science, Physics, Economics, and Finance. After graduation I participated in App Academy, a 3 month intensive programming bootcamp before getting into professional web development.
I have occasionally engaged in freelance projects building web pages for artists, non-profits, streetwear clothing brands, and political organizations. I have worked on Shopify integrations in both my full-time and freelance work.
In my free time I enjoy engaging in mutual aid and volunteer work, going to tech meetups, learning new languages, playing and listening to music, hanging out with my dog, playing video games, and keeping up with politics and current events.
